I was given the task to quickly create and design these banners as well as get them printed in less than a week. I am glad that we made it in time.

The first one I made was the Đại Hội Nghĩa Hiệp banner. This one was easy to do with the obvious color schemes. I added color lines at the top and bottom to make it more interesting. Most banners in the past tend to only have the logo and text. However, I wanted these banners to be more colorful.

The Liên Đoàn banner was put up behind and to the right of the Đại Hội Nghĩa Hiệp banner. I liked how well the two banners match. The Liên Đoàn banner took more revisions because it was difficult to find the right color lines. Liên Đoàn wanted the colors to match Joseph and Mary more.

I was also asked to make poster boards for the registration booth. Font was “New Romantics” and hand-drawn by yours truly.

This year, we had an outdoors stage. I was given the task to design a backdrop and recommended to add some pretty fabric like the last big celebration of Miền Tây’s Lễ Bổn Mạng a few years ago. I decided to go with the colors of the Ngành and add the color white to the outside. Someone asked me why did I not put the white fabric in the middle and add the yellow and brown fabric on the outside for symmetry (and that it would look nice for Mass), but I wanted the focus to be on the Ngành colors since the event is Đại Hội Nghĩa Hiệp. I also liked the alternating colors. It was a simple, but pretty design.

Lastly, I was asked to assist with making the name tags more atheistically pleasing so here it is:

The red rectangle represent any Huynh Trưởng or Hiệp Sĩ Trưởng Thành (>18 years old).
The yellow rectangle represent any Nghĩa Sĩ or Hiệp Sĩ (<18 years old).
It’s the small things that most people would not notice, but I am proud of the work I did.
